Online workshopping

Postby Marmalade on Wed Apr 15, 2009 5:17 pm

Okay, we all agree that good workshopping can make the difference between an otherwise good piece of writing that gets rejected and a very good piece that gets published, yeah? I mean, that's why all the creative classes at Deakin, Holmesglen or wherever have workshops.

Here's a couple of links to online workshop groups (other than ours! Check the 'Post your writing stories here' link).

Urbis is "a community of creative people that offers sophisticated tools to help advance creativity and expose it to an audience." From the looks of it, you sign up, read their FAQ, submit something, and then unlock other people's workshopping of your piece by workshopping other pieces.

Fiction Exchange looks like the same thing, but it's newer and therefore more raw. Could be promising in the future, though?
