Hey, welcome aboard.

I think at one point (about *cough* years ago), I had read every Eddings book I could get my hot little hands on

I'm not into fantasy much now, but read Catherine Jinks' Pagan books (historical fiction set around the Crusades - very fantasy) a couple of years ago. They were quite good, particularly the first one (Pagan's Crusade, I think).

if you like fantasy check our George RR Martin's "Song of Fire and Ice" series and Steven Erickson's "The Malazan Book of the Fallen" series. They're good fantasy, personally I never liked Eddings much, and never took to Feist, but I found those books mould breaking and captivating, they're some of the few good fantasy fantasy books.

Hello!!

I posted an intro not long ago but it got lost somewhere in that great nothingness of cyberspace, so I guess I'll just introduce myself again : )

I'm Melissa and I just finished Yr 12 last year. I'm a first year in Professional and Creative Writing, and I'm also doing Literary Studies, Philosophy and Maths.

I've always loved reading and writing, although I haven't done much writing in the last few years due to being busy with school and work (or that's my excuse, anyway). I find it hard to get motivated to write so I'm hoping that this forum will help me get started again : )

Welcome back.

Actually, poor software coding ate your last welcome message. But hey, this forum is free and I suppose we get what we pay for.

After our meetings next week, we'll be able to herd a few more people this way, so hopefully that'll give you some motivation.

In the meantime, have a look at the Opportunities (Miriam's running a great comp in there).
