Okay, so I found this game that's about words. It's as sad and addictive as a healthy freebase habit. Be warned. About a month of my free time has been wasted on this sucker.

It's called Bookworm Adventures. You control a little green dude who fights monsters by making words out of a 16 letter grid. It's a bit like scrabble. When you use letters they replenish, but you're still stuck with all the crap letters you didn't use. So if you don't get creative with your Js and Xs and Zs, they soon pile up.

I'll be the first to admit that this game is as cutesy-wutesy as a thirteen-year-old's MySpace, but underneath that...I don't know. It's so damn challenging, because you're playing against yourself. The best thing is you can only play for an hour max before your brain leaks out your ear, but I guarantee you'll be back for more the next day.

Anyway: http://www.popcap.com/games/bookwormadventures and download the trial.
